Hello,
My name is Ava Bella, I’m a beautiful black and tan girl 4 year old girl.  I am retired from having babies and working on getting my pre pregnancy figure back but I am almost there!  My foster mom says I am a beautiful princess and very smart!  I studied the doggy door for about two minutes and figured it out all by myself.  I was introduced to my new siblings who are other dachshunds and even a big lab and I liked them all as soon as we met. But, my favorite people so far are my dad and brother!! My mom was so excited, because for some reason, she says some girl dogs get scared, but not me, I ran right up to them and asked to be held. Yes, I do love to be held and a spot on a lap is  my favorite place. I insist on being touched, sometimes if you forget I will let out a little bark to remind you I am here pet ME !!! I love attention.   I am crate trained and sleep all night, with the right amount of blankets of course, I have to be all covered up, I am a princess !!! I like to walk on a leash too!! The only thing I am working on is eating. I am just too excited to be safe and happy to settle down and eat when I am supposed to,  but I will learn fast ! Hope to meet you soon !

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
