  • Frida is a stunning work of art!
She is a 2 year old beauty from the tip of her boppable nose to the end of her beautiful long Dachshund Red tail.
She was picked up as a stray and held at the shelter but no one she knew ever came for her. So, please, don't be upset if she's a bit skittish and untrusting when you first meet her, it takes a lot of processing to understand why you weren't wanted. She is getting better, though. I promise. It took a little bit for her to acclimate to her foster home... with all the new sounds, and people and smells... OH, MY!
She very much enjoys her walks and, although I wouldn't call her an expert, she does do quite well on her leash and harness. She is not food aggressive, but she is a little stinker and tries to wiggle her way into her foster siblings bowls.... while they're still eating!
And she FINALLY mastered the doggie door. It was a hit or miss for a bit. Literally.
She gets along just fine with other dogs, both big and small... and we recently found out that she's ok with cats, too.
She won't complain about the humans either, especially if there's snacks involved. She's been around older children, which she plays with quite well and teens (which, like the rest of us, she tolerates, lol) and she's great with adults.
We may not know what Frida's past was like, but her future should consist of a loving family, a warm bed and lots of treats.
