Sweet should be her middle name! Rowena "RoRo" Raven was surrendered to the shelter at around 12 years old. She is around 23 pounds. Her foster mom THOUGHT she was hard of hearing and a little visually impaired, but turns out that she's got a huge personality and CHOOSES to pay attention or not. One thing is for sure, she knows loving hands when she meets them! She loves to gives kisses and is always ready for a snuggle and a nap-- RoRo's foster mom frequently wakes up with Ro in her arms. When RoRo came into rescue, she was pretty overweight, but now she's looking good and is ready to find a home. She's trying out some over the counter meds to help grow her fur back, but fur or not, she's a fun girl with a great personality. She will shadow you all around the house and makes piggy noises! Because she has thin fur, she loves to wear clothes to stay warm and protect her skin. She is good with her foster siblings, but all bets are off when it comes to her bed or her chewies! She will growl and grumble at the other dogs to tell them "no", but isn't a biter. Rowena understands the doggie door and ramps and really just wants to be someone's constant companion. Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
