Loki is a playful 1 year old and weighs around 20 pounds. Loki's absolute favorite thing to do is play. When he's not playing he appreciates pets, kisses, and the occasional snoot boop.

Loki is very intelligent which helps him make good choices with his energy. With a yard and some toys he can entertain himself pretty well. He loves to cuddle with his foster family. He does very well in his kennel at night, and is responsible during the day. He is learning how to walk appropriately on a leash, and making great progress. He gets along with other dogs and does fine with the cat. He has been good with meeting strangers so far. Small children would probably not be a good combination because he is still into the run into everything when running through the house phase but older children would probably be fine. An active house would definately be good as he gets into mischief if not tuckered out on a regular basis.

If you are looking for a young very playful guy, put your application in now. If you are thinking of 2, I would suggest picking my brother Thor. We make a pretty good team!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.
