Precious Joy and Lady Red are a sweet senior duo that loves to cuddle and give kisses. They have been together since they were young, explore the house side-by-side, clean each other's ears and faces, and nap within a paw's reach of each other!

Unfortunately, their circumstances aren't uncommon. Sadly, their dad passed away and now their mom is in poor health and needed help taking care of them. DDRTX is committed to helping these two lovely ladies live out their golden years to the fullest in a safe, loving, forever home.

Precious Joy is a darling little dapple that gives the most loving looks, the most heartfelt kisses, and wags her tail happily. She does great on a leash, is potty trained, will settle in a kennel for a nap or any dog bed that is open and available, and loves to be where the humans are. That is, as long as her sister is close.

Don't let her 12 year senior age dissuade you from falling in love with her.  Heidi only weighs 12 pounds. She is in great health and has many years to come!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
