Howdy! Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Taylor.  I am a 3 year old, 15 pound female dachshund. 

All I know is that I have red hair, that’s short all over and I’m what they call a STANDARD dachshund! I think I’m around 3 years old, but who knows for sure? A Good Samaritan found me trapped in a crate, in the broiling Texas sun, with no food, water or bathroom facilities… if you get what I mean!

The shelter reached out to DDRTX who thankfully had a foster home ready and waiting… the nasty part of my life is done and behind me and it can only look up from here!

My foster parents are still learning about me and I do have a vet visit coming up. Stay tuned for more updates and if you’d like to kick in for my care, you can click on the “Sponsor This Pet” button under my photo.

Things of note: Okay with other dogs, beginning to utilize doggy door, sleeps in kennel, loves to snuggle with her people, and seems calm in the bath …. STAY TUNED FOR MORE!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
