Hi! I'm Penelope! I am 3 years old and around 12 pounds. Foster mommy sometimes calls me Princess P. She's right. I am definitely a princess. I love to snuggle with my foster mom, and follow her everywhere. She says it's because I have separation anxiety, but we're doing training to help me work through that. I'm already improving too. I would like a home where my family is home a lot because I don't like being left alone and another furbuddy will also help me when I am left home alone.  I like to go to the other humans in the house and ask for ups. If they're not on the couch with me, I will gently climb their legs to announce my presence. Speaking of the couch, my favorite spots are snuggled under a blanket or on the back of the couch where I can oversee everything and prance around.
I get along well with my siblings of any size and species. . My human is most important, but it's nice to play with my foster siblings when my human is around. I like to pounce and climb my siblings when we play. If I'm playing with a human, I love to tussle, gently, with their hands and roll around. I can entertain myself if I need to. .My favorite toy is an unstuffed squid. I prefer to nibble on its tentacles, but sometimes I'll even pull on the rope. I'm not very interested in destroying my toys, so you don't have to worry about stuffing storms. Foster mom says I am a unique dachshund because I even get along well with the cat in my foster home. She is a bit grumpy, but I know when to leave her alone, and when I can say hello. Sometimes I even cuddle the cat if a human is there to help me.

Do you need a very small, very sweet shadow, spunky playmate and cuddle buddy? I could be your newest pack member.
