  • Current Size: 17 Pounds
  • Current Age: 2 Years 4 Months (best estimate)

Rusty Taylor came to us from a local shelter.  He was a stray with chemical burns down his back.  He is guessed to be 2 years old and weighs in at 17 pounds. He went straight to one of our vets and is being treated and under our vets care.  He is living in a wonderful foster home while healing.  Even though he has been through so much,  he is doing well in his foster home.  He is getting along with the 2 other dogs in the home.  He doesn't react to the other dogs at all. He has the cutest little under bite.  Rusty is housetrained and good on a leash.  He doesn't care for the crate much but will calm down in a few minutes.  Rusty sleeps in a dog bed and sleeps thru the night.

Rusty is not available for adoption right now due to the chemical burns down his back.  He is being treated and will slowly heal.  He will need several months to heal and will still need to be neutered and microchipped after he is healed.  If the burns weren't enough, he is also heartworm positive and will have to go through the treatments.  He has been through so much in his short 2 years of life.  If you would like to sponsor him during this time, please just click on the sponsorship page.
