Meet Iggy Ignatius, the 3 yr old Chiweenie with Pizazz!
Ok, well, more like spunk, but he's a really good boy, nonetheless. Picked up at ACS, we were told that he had been infested with fleas, and it was pretty evident. He had scabs on his belly and his fur was, not only coarse, but it was patch as well. Whatever this little cutie's life was pre DDRTX, it has not deterred him from being spunky. He seems to be grateful to be in his new situation (you should see how happy he gets at feeding time!). He picks things up rather quickly too! He learned how to go outside through the doggie door almost immediately. It took him a second to realize he could come back in through the doggie door as well, but now he flies in and out right behind his foster siblings!
So, we like manners around here. None of the regulars get their food bowl unless they sit and wait...Guess What?! He was sitting and waiting by day 2! He's understanding the commands, Off, Back (of the house), and Outside. Let's see what else we can teach him before you adopt him!
Iggy in his own doggy way, really knows his situation is much better now than before.

Iggy is not available for adoption yet.  He has tested positive for those nasty heartworms and will need to go through heartworm treatment before he is ready for adoption.  Heartworm treatments is not cheap and it will take 3 months.  If you would like to sponsor Iggy at this time, please click on the sponsorship button!
