Koncho Rio is new to our rescue.  A vet's office reached out to see if we could help him when he was surrendered by his owners due to back problems.  He had surgery on his spine area near his neck and has been recovering in a foster home.  The vet has checked him out and states Koncho has made a full recovery and can resume all normal activities!  Koncho is neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations and heartworm negative.

He is 9 years old and about 16 pounds.  He is very sweet and has excellent house manners.  He is leash trained and loves to go on walks when it isn't too dang hot outside.  He is also an excellent couch potato if you are looking for a TV or nap buddy, he's your guy.  When he has to be crated, he whines for 5 or 10 minutes and then quiets down but he would also love to sleep in the big bed with his owner.  He gets along well with other dogs and would love to chase cats but doesn't want to hurt them.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
