Bojangles is a handsome 7 year old male, long haired dachshund.  He weighs around 16 pounds and is very long.  He has one blue speck in one eye.  He came out of the shelter, tail wagging at everyone.  He wanted to get right into the truck with his foster Mom and Dad.  He came right into his foster home and met the dachshunds living in the home, one by one and liked them all.  He does prefer the dogs that don't challenge him and would really love it if he could be the only dog in the house to get all the love.  He gives soft kisses. He loves to be near his people.  Bojangles is housebroken and knows how to use a doggie door.  He sleeps quietly in the kennel. He learns quickly.  He loves being around kids and even a busy household with people.  He is a chill guy. 

If you are looking for a dog that loves people and loves to be around you but not in your face, Bojangles could be the dog for you.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
