Gino is a 5 year old, 15 pound dachshund mix.  Over all, according to his foster Mom, he is a nice dog and is getting along with the dogs in his foster home.  He really has taken to the foster Dad in the home.  Gino is a quiet, laid back kinda guy.  Gino was good around his foster homes grandkids when they came to visit.  He is housebroken and crate trained.  Gino is smart, just wants to please you and be near you. 

Gino came to us as a stray from a local shelter with a head wound. It was cleaned up and stitched up by one of our vets.  The stitches were taken out and it has healed nicely.  He was covered in fleas but that was taken care of as well.  He also tested positive for a tick born disease.  He will always test positive for it but is not having any issues with it and may never have any.  If you want a laid back, good with other dogs and good with kids kinda guy, Gino is your dog!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
