Hello, my name is Rooster and I am an elderly gentleman looking for a home. I am a laid back fellow who LOVES snuggles and going on adventures. My adventures include going down the street, to work, to a friend’s, doesn’t matter as long as we go somewhere and I’m with you. Adventures are my favorite thing in the world and you’ll see me get so excited if I think we’re headed out. I even have a doggie stroller at my foster parents house and I’m a very good boy in my stroller! My foster parents tell me that I need to lose weight. I think they’re crazy and should feed me more, but I’ve been told that the relevant numbers are that I came in at 28lbs, am currently 21lbs, and need to be 14lbs. I’ve been getting regular walks, but would honestly prefer adventures instead. OH, also food time is my favorite thing in the world. I’ve been told that I’m a whiny bread loaf if you’re even a few minutes late, but I think you should just feed me more. If you’re looking for a seasoned gentleman who will go with you wherever you go and give you LOTS of snuggles then I may be your man!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds. All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property. Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval. Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!
