Hiya. I'm Rigatoni (Toni), a gentle dachshund mix puppy.   I am super sweet and quite the snuggly guy.  I'm one of the sweetest boys in my family-- I love gentle attention and like to stop whatever I'm doing frequently to "check in" with my foster mom. I'm a little more shy than some of the others in my litter, but that doesn't mean I'm boring or don't love to play. I love treats and I LOVE to run and play. I enjoy toys and running and climbing, and one thing I enjoy is barking-- I like to speak my mind. I'm am doggie door trained and I do great with potty pads. I am learning how to sit and stay and I've really got those behaviors down well! I will need a gentle family who will understand that I might need time and patience to settle in because I'm a bit more shy-- probably older, considerate or very quiet kids would be best for me... little, loud kids scare me. I'd love a doggie sibling to help me learn to be more outgoing.  If you are the one to give me the love I deserve, fill out the adoption contract now!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
