This smart young dog with the heart of a lion came to us for a local shelter.  His history is unknown but to his adopting family, he will be a blessing.  Fenway (aka Fen, Fen-Den, Jaws) has a lot of puppy left in him, so he is an active little fellow.  Consideration needs to be given if his potential home has older dogs or humans as an attack of the zoomies is highly likely. He will most likely try for the alpha dog position in a multi-dog home.  Fen is sharp as a tack, loyal and determined to please his mom or pop.  He actually appears to study his person and will sometimes vocalize a little to make his point.  He loves his backyard and likes to toss and run for his stuffed toy but will not willingly share so take care if playing a game of tug with him or if another dog decides to play along. Fenway would do best in a home without another dog or cat that he has to share his family with. He's good on car rides and walks fairly well on a leash.  He likes the big bed but will sleep on the couch.  He loves to cuddle on the couch anytime day or night.  He is housebroken and knows the doggie door.  He does not like cats or having his nails trimmed.  Fen is waiting to meet you!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
