Jumbo Jack was born into our rescue.  He was adopted but things did not work out for him and so he came back to our rescue to find another good home.  Although Jumbo Jack is young, he will be a year old in Feb, he is very bright and learns to acclimate very quickly… Just a few short months ago, he didn’t want to share toys, go in his crate, or be left alone.

He is currently sleeping through the night in his kennel. He has no problem being left alone as long as he has a toy, a blanket and his comfy bed in the kennel. If someone chooses to leave him out as opposed to crating, he would do great in a dog bed or on the sofa. He loves to “perch” on the back of the sofa and watch what’s going on in the rest of the house.

He’s getting really good about going to the back door when he needs to potty. Plus, he knows how to use the potty pad when the weather is inclement.

He loves playing with toys and has been pretty good about sharing (he is still fairly young, but with time, he should not be possessive of his toys). He is full of energy, so he might get along great with another younger dog or even as an only dog…as long as someone is there to play with him and burn off some of that puppy energy throughout the day or at the end of the day. He’s great about going to his kennel when it is time to eat. And even on the nights when he doesn’t want to go to his kennel for bedtime, all it takes is a little coaxing and a treat to get him into the crate without having to play cat and mouse.

Other than that he’s doing great with all his foster brothers and sisters: old, young, large, small, male, and female! A lot of his puppy habits are subsiding, and he is learning commands very quickly.

JJ weighs 22 pounds and will be a year old the end of Feb.
