Ladybug is a little senior lady who was rescued off a rural road by a good Samaritan. She had some teeth issues which resulted in all of them being pulled. However, since having the painful teeth pulled, she has had a change in her personality and is happy and very vocal when she wants you to pay attention to her! She is still a bit shy around fast movements, but if there is food involved, she is very excited. She is potty trained, but is a little scared of the doggie door. She does let you know when she needs to go out, and waits patiently at the back door to be let back in. She gets along with her foster brothers and sisters, and loves to sleep in a pile of blankets on the couch. She likes to go outside (except when it is cold or raining) to explore the yard and is very curious.
While she doesn’t mind children, their quick movements do have a tendency to scare her, and she would do well in a quieter home.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds. All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property. Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval. Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!
