Rex is a sweet, older gentleman. The vet guessed him to be about 12 years old and he came in very thin. We are working on getting some weight on him.

He takes a few days to get used to someone, but then once accepting them, has no problem coming and nudging you hand to pet him, and will keep nudging until he satisfied. He's very gentle and quiet, haven't heard him bark yet.

He's happiest curled up in a soft blanket or dog bed. He's learning the doggie door, but also alerts you when he needs to go out by standing by the door.

Still has a little spunk in him and will "dance" around wanting your attention. Perfect for someone who is home often and wants a companion.

Rex is ready for adoption.  He will need to be on a kidney diet the rest of his life to keep his kidney healthy.  If you have questions about that, just ask.  It is an a prescription food you can get from your vet or maybe even Chewy.
