Hello my name is Sacagawea and I was one of the pioneer puppies. I am looking for my forever home. I could tell my story but I’m going to let my foster mom fill you in.
Sacagawea was born in our home she was the last puppy in the pioneer puppies to be born. At nine weeks she thought she had found her forever home. Through no fault of her own the situation changed and she had to be returned to our rescue.

Sacagawea has a nickname, we call her Wee-ah. She has many striking features not the least of which is her beautiful yellow green eyes. She is a beautiful reddish brown with white markings on her neck and chest and four white toes one on each foot. She’s going to make an absolutely beautiful dog when she traverses through her puppy time to adulthood.

Sacagawea was potty trained to P pads prior to being adopted, however since she has returned to me as a foster she is catching on quickly to being potty trained to go outside. She is working on learning proper manners in the house and she does well overnight sleeping with her sister in one of the bedrooms. Sacagawea is a very loving dog, she’s quiet and she really loves to be in your lap and to absolutely hug your body. She will also lay quietly on the floor as long as she can do that close to where you’re sitting. She is currently working on her figure by eating a few extra kibbles to fill out her lanky sides.

Sacagawea is hoping that the right adopter will find her soon. That could be a family that has a little time to teach her good manners and give hugs. She loves kids and toys! Or it could be someone needing that extra special companion. She is a little shy at first but when she knows she can trust you she just wants to give love. And in case you’re adding to the dog family she gets along with other dogs in our home.
Please consider this girl if you have a warm and loving home.
