Ema is a one year old bouncing bundle of energy. She lives to play hard and rest harder! Ema is on the small size around 9-10 lbs but it doesn't stop her from playing with anyone! She came into Foster Care when her loving family no longer had a home for her and her brother Fritzi. They were well cared for and well loved. Ema's Foster mom plays fetch with her tennis balls and dresses her up in pretty dresses. Ema's favorite toy is the rubber chicken! And will play for hours if her Foster mom would let her! She loves all of her Foster family, mom is great and so are the kids but her favorite human is Dad! She will snuggle and sleep next to him every chance she gets. Ema hasn't been around cats or small children but we think she would be just fine with everyone! She is potty trained and sleeps in a kennel at night. Do you have a pet that needs a companion or have you found yourself spending more time at home and need a friend. She would love to follow you around. She's a ray of sunshine that needs a place to glow with love and laughter!

Love dachshunds and not ready to adopt or circumstances won't permit having a dog?  How about being a sponsor or making a donation.  Every one of our dachshunds receives excellent medical care along with day to day food, love and housing.  Being non-profit, we rely on generous individuals like yourselves to help save these fur babies.  You can do this specifically for one dog with the sponsor button on their webpage or a general donation on our “How To Help” page.  Easy and quick through Pay Pal or your debit/credit card.  You generosity is sincerely appreciated by all and is tax deductable.  Need other ideas?  You'll find tons of them on the How to Help tab.  All contributions are tax deductable.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
