Hello world!

My name is Winnie Lou and I am ready for adoption!

I am fully recovered from being attacked by a big dog but I am always going have a head bobble and wobble when I walk. My foster mom says it is super cute and it will not hold me back. One thing she says you should know is that I am completely deaf. I don’t know if it is from my attack or I was born this way.

What does this mean for my new family? Please have some patience with me while I learn my new surroundings. I also startle easily if I do not see you approaching me.

But don’t let this scare you from adopting me. I can use the doggy door and I am 100% potty trained. I like to play with small dogs but big dogs make me nervous. I LOVE using the doggy door to play in the backyard. I must have a backyard and a doggy door because I love to go in and out the doggy door and enjoy the sunshine all day long.

I am a different dog in the backyard. I love to run and follow you all around the backyard. I would be happiest if you liked to be in the backyard with me.

I also need my own doggy bed and some toys. I have two beds in my current house and I carry my toys back and forth to my beds.

Special Needs: Has a slight head tilt, nero issue due to a big dog attach or birth defect. She does not walk in a straight line. Came to us from shelter with fractured skull and pelvis

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.
