Hello and nice to meet you… if you don’t mind, I will stand over here and talk to you because I don’t want to get too close until I know you better. As you can see from my picture, I'm a red and white piebald who weighs around 17 pounds.  I came into rescue with my 3 siblings and we were all well loved and cared for, though this change has been very hard on us, so we are pretty scared.  I have been working on living up to my big, brave name: Maximus, but I still have a ways to go before I am not shy and scared anymore. I love my sister Tobie Anne, but will adjust fine without her presence as long as I have another friend in the household.   I'm very gentle and submissive to all other dogs and would love to have some new friends to call my own.   Though I am interested, I will take a little while before I'll start playing with other dogs, but you can see that I want to.  If' I get too scared I'll retreat to my crate, so please have one available for me.  I'm a non-marking, non-dominant male that likes to snuggle and is just looking for a quiet, calm home to call my own--- a family who understands that I will need some time to open up and feel safe again.
