I'm a very handsome longhair red boy.  I am 4 1/2 yrs old and weigh 12 lbs. I'm so very good looking that, in my past life, I was used as a stud. So when I was rescued by DDRTX and my foster mom brought me home, it was the first time I had ever been in a house!   A home is so wonderful, I really love it. There are so many cushy places to curl up and take a nap! I especially like to curl up on my foster moms lap. I have even learned to share her lap with the pack.  I'm a little shy when I first meet new people, but we are working on that!  I'm doing pretty good on my house training, but, like most doxies, I'm not real happy about going out in really cold or wet weather.   I enjoy sleeping in the big bed with my family, but I am also crate trained!  I've learned to play really well with my foster sisters, we get along great!  I'm still learning to walk on a leash.  I really enjoy car rides!  My foster mom says I'm a really sweet boy and I can give you really soft kisses on the tip of your nose.  I love being with "my person" and I will follow you anywhere.  Will you be my forever person? I can't wait to meet you!!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
