Hi, My foster mom says I'm very lovable.  I love to sit in your lap or lay right up next to you.  In fact, I WILL make my way into your lap!  I prefer to sleep in the big bed and nuzzle right up next to my foster mom.  Unlike most dachshunds I'm a slow eater so you don't have to worry about be scarfing down my food.  I live with a cat whom I was scared of at first but now I'm just a little curious of her.  I don't stalk or chase her though.  You'll need to be careful when I'm around and you open an outside door or gate as I may get out.  Although I'm very good about coming back to you it's best we don't take any chances.  I love to play with my foster mom's male dachshund.  I know how to use the doggie door but still need work on my house training in the morning.  Until I learn you'll have to take me outside and make sure I do my business or else I'll just go right back in and do it.  I don't have accidents during the day though so a routine and repetition will have me house trained in no time.  I love both male and female humans.  I'm sooo sweet/lovable.  I've been told I have the cutest bark although I don't bark a lot.  I'd love to have my own family to dote on me and maybe a playmate.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
