Dotsie is a sweet, affectionate little girl that weighs 10 lbs.  She loves being in the yard and is always on the hunt so she'd probably do well in a house with no critters (birds, hamsters, etc).  She gets along with the other dogs in her foster home but her foster mom believes she prefers people.  She loves kids and is very playful with her human sister.  She's very affectionate, gives lots of hugs and kisses and will actually push herself right into your face but will settle down and sleep in your lap.  She is doing well with her house training and uses the doggie door.  She needs work walking on a leash.  She isn't fond of the crate at first but settles quickly. She's protective if someone walks by her crate when she still has food. She thinks she is bigger than anyone.

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
