Hi, Hello, Hola, Howdy!  My name is Izod and I'm a cuddly, sweet, red, short haired mini fella! The vet stated I was approximately 10 years old when I first came into DDRTX, but everyone says that if I am a day over 8 years old, I age EXTREMELY well. I show no signs of arthritis, I have clear, soulful eyes, and no grey to speak of. You wouldn't know I'm considered a "senior" because I just like to enjoy life-- I love to play with toys, balls, and other gentle dogs. I have tons of energy, but I LOVE to snuggle!!!  It is entirely possible that due to my lack of dental care in my previous life the vet might be off by a couple of years. Due to my lack of dental care, I had all but two of my teeth removed-- I now have fistulas but I love soft AND crunchy food, so I am a happy camper. I'd prefer to be in a home with no cats, but my last house had a few. I sleep in the crate or on my own doggie bed at night, but I'd really love to sleep in the big bed with my people.  I like to go for walks and my leash skills are getting better every day. I'm also working on basic obedience-- Sit!  Stay!  Lay down!  I am housebroken, but when I first arrive somewhere, it's best to put a belly band on me because I like to "claim" things as my own, but I stop doing that after a couple days.  Since I love exploring,  be prepared for me to try and find weak spot in your fence line or to slip out the front door when you're not looking-- consider it my way of keeping you on your toes!  I'm a lovely boy that is good with other dogs, friendly with all people, kissy, and very happy to soak up all the attention I can get.   I would like a nice home where I can get the attention and cuddles I deserve.
