Hi! My name is Nemo! When I came into rescue I was so completely bald due to demodex that DDRTX didn't even know what color I'd be! Now my coat is growing in and I am SO happy to be alive! I am friendly, sweet, playful and good with just about everyone— though, I have to say that I like to be the king of the castle when it comes to other male dogs. I love to cuddle, go for car rides and give out kisses.  I am goofy, silly and full of life and energy.  I am fully housebroken, doing great on crate training, and I am working on personal boundaries-- I like to be in the middle of EVERYTHING.  My foster people say I am VERY smart, eager to please, and am learning VERY quickly about my manners. I would do best in a house with playful, smaller dogs because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to play. I’d love to have an active family to play tug, fetch, and wrestle with… I love to play a little more “manly” with my foster Dad. I’m not just fun and playful though, I also really love to be hugged and cuddled.  I am a snuggly guy with a ton of love to give.  My foster people say that if you like the fine arts, you should SEE my ballet turnout! They say I am excellent at first and third position!  If your household is looking for a new Principle Male—I could fill the position!

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization with focus on rescue and adoption of pure breed Dachshunds.  All dogs are fully vetted and housed on private property.  Meetings are scheduled upon adoption approval.  Thank you for your continued support to the rescue and shelter communities!  Opt to Adopt!
